Everyone loves banana bread, right? Well, enough people obviously did, because today is declared as National Banana Bread Day! I grew up with practically always having banana bread in our kitchen. My mom and I would conveniently forget about eating two or three bananas, and of course, since we didn’t want them to go to waste… we just had to make some banana bread. 😉

Now, I may be a little biased, but I believe my mom’s recipe for banana bread is top notch- nothing can beat it. There is bisquick, sugar, milk, chocolate chips- everything I could want. the top is moist, and all throughout there is banana flavor evenly dispersed. She and I have made it thousands of times, so we have the mix down to a tee.
I follow a lot of food bloggers, and one of my favorite flavor concoctions to read about is the variety of banana bread recipes that are created. People can get insanely creative!
